SUMMER FRESH VIVIDS
Not to be underestimated, vivid hair colour services are hot right now and people aren’t afraid to be experimental at the backwash.
Need some vivid colour inspo before you take the plunge? Corals, yellows and oranges could be your go-to colours but if in doubt, check out the wash of colours you might see in a beach sunset for inspiration.
THINK PINK
Love girly colour? It’s official, the fashion world is currently obsessing over pink hair for 2019. It was the hair colour palette on repeat on the SS19 runways with bubblegum shades sweetening up backstages.
“Pinks and lilacs are everywhere for spring, and coral is sure to be huge for summer” says Ria Kulik, Artist Educator for Matrix. “We’ve already been transforming a lot of our clients in the salon to warmer shades of pink on top of worn-out blondes.”
If pink isn’t for you, go for lilac coloured hair. Ria says: “Lilac is ideal for those who like their shades to be a bit cooler, or someone who likes the idea of pepping up their colour, but maybe pink isn’t for them.”
GO SOCOLOR CULT
With SoColor Cult now on the scene, vivid colour that’s super-cool and super-bold isn’t far away. Think high impact colours like Flamenco Fuchsia, Sparkling Rose and Royal Purple.
Ria says: “SCC is an exciting new movement for colour. It’s really pushed limits in the way hairdressers are now colouring hair.” The 12 vivid shades all tap into SS19 trends, whether you want colour pop brights or lived-in sunset pastels – you can be as daring as you like...
“All the neon bright colours have got me excited this spring, purely for the fact people are expressing themselves in such a new way – big, bold and not sorry,” Ria says.
