Ashleigh Hodges Party Hair hacks

Party hair this season is all about the undo up do. You want to think sexy loose textures, rather than anything super set.

For those that aren’t the best at putting hair up, my best tip is to work from a braid as the base. That way you’ve got structure already and it’s just your creativity that’s needed. I like to work with a couple of braids, then pull them apart and pin into place, for an instant sassy hair up.

We are also seeing a lot of focus on fringes. Whether it be creating an asymmetric  fringe with your hair up, or by creating a vintage feel by putting the fringe area up in a twist. The best thing with this is to make sure your working with your face shape. Round or long faces should work with the asymmetric softer fringe. For oval and square Work with the vintage feel fringe twist.

The key thing with any party hair style is your foundations. I suggest a good blow dry using Matrix Style Link Volume Builder, and then work with Style Link Volume Fixer throughout the hair up to keep that style in place whilst perfecting it
